सूर्यास्थितर्क्षाज्जनकस्वरूपं वृद्धिं द्वितीयेन तु तत्प्रकाशम्। तद्भ्रातरं तस्य गुणं तृतीयात् तन्मातरं चापि सुखं चतुर्थात्

લગ્નથી સૂર્ય જે નક્ષત્રમાં સ્થિત હોય તેનાથી પિતાનું સ્વરૂપ જાણવું; બીજા ભાવથી તેમની વૃદ્ધિ (ધન-સંપત્તિ) અને તેમનો પ્રકાશ (પ્રભાવ) જાણવો; ત્રીજા ભાવથી પિતાના ભાઈઓ અને તેમના ગુણો જાણવા; અને ચોથા ભાવથી પિતાની માતા તથા તેમના સુખનો વિચાર કરવો…
