Verse 16.8

शौर्यपे बलिनि सद्ग्रहयुक्ते कारकेऽपि शुभभावमुपेते । भ्रातृ वृद्धिरथ वीर्यविहीने दुःस्थने भवति सोदरनाशः

勇気と力を象徴する第三ハウスが強健であり、吉星と結びつき、かつその significator（カルカラ）も吉の状態にあるとき、兄弟の繁栄がもたらされる。逆に、そのハウスが活力を欠き、凶悪な状態（ドゥッasthan）にあるならば、兄弟の喪失が生じる。
