लग्नार्कमान्दिस्फुटयोगराशेरधीश्वरो यद्भवनोपगस्तु । तद्राशिसंस्थे पुरुहूतवन्द्ये तत्कोणगे वा मृतिमेति जातः

ജനനസമയത്ത് ലഗ്നം, സൂര്യൻ, മാന്ദ്യം (ശനി), ഇവയുടെ സ്പുടങ്ങളുടെ ആകെത്തുക കൊണ്ട് വരുന്ന രാശിയുടെ അധിപതി ഏത് ഭാവത്തിൽ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്നുവോ, ആ രാശിതന്നെ പുരുഹൂതവന്ദ്യനായ ബൃഹസ്പതിയുടെ രാശിയിലോ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ ആ രാശിയുടെ ത്രികോണത്തിലോ വന്നുചേരുമ്പോൾ…
