नक्षत्रगोचरम् रेखाह्सप्तसमालिखेदुपरिगास्तिर्यक्तथैव क्रमादीशादग्निभमादितोऽपि गणयेदादित्यभस्यावधि । वेधा जन्मादिने मृतिर्भयमथाधानाख्यनक्षत्रके कर्मण्यर्थविनाशं खलु रविर्दद्यात्सपापो मृतिम्

ನಕ್ಷತ್ರದ ಗೋಚರವನ್ನು ಗೆರೆಗಳಿಂದ ಏಳು ಸಮಾನ ರೇಖೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆ ಎಳೆಯಬೇಕು; ಅದೇ ರೀತಿ ಅಡ್ಡವಾಗಿ ಏಳು ರೇಖೆಗಳನ್ನು ಎಳೆಯಬೇಕು. ಈ ಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಈಶ (ಬೃಹಸ್ಪತಿ) ಯಿಂದ ಆರಂಭಿಸಿ, ಅಗ್ನಿಭ (ಕ್ರಿತಿಕಾ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರ) ವರೆಗೆ ಗಣನೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು. ನಂತರ ಆದಿತ್ಯಭ (ಸೂರ್ಯನ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರ) ವರೆಗೆ…
