Verse 8.4

स्थानान्यथाइतानि स वर्णयित्वा सर्वाण्यधश्छेद विवर्जितानि । दशाब्द पिण्डे गुणका यथांशं छेदस्तदैक्येन दशाप्रभेदः

ആ സ്ഥാനങ്ങളെ (ഗ്രഹങ്ങളുടെ അവസ്ഥകളെ) ഇപ്രകാരം വർണ്ണിച്ച ശേഷം, അവയിൽ നിന്നും അധഃഛേദങ്ങളെ (ഭിന്നസംഖ്യകളിലെ ഛേദങ്ങളെ) ഒഴിവാക്കുക. ദശാവർഷങ്ങളുടെ ആകെത്തുകയിൽ ഗുണകങ്ങളെ യഥാർത്ഥ അംശപ്രകാരം എടുക്കുക; ആ ഛേദങ്ങളുടെ ആകെത്തുക കൊണ്ട് ഹരിക്കുമ്പോഴാണ്…
