अथ तत्त्वाकारेत्यादिनिर्णयकथनम्। चतुरस्रं चार्धचन्द्रं त्रिकोणं वर्त्तुलं स्मृतम्। बिन्दुभिस्तु नभो (मनो)ज्ञेयमाकारैस्तत्त्वलक्षणम्

ಅಥ ತತ್ತ್ವಾಕಾರೇತ್ಯಾದಿನಿರ್ಣಯಕಥನಮ್ । ಚತುರಸ್ರಂ ಚಾರ್ಧಚಂದ್ರಂ ತ್ರಿಕೋಣಂ ವರ್ತ್ತುಲಂ ಸ್ಮೃತಮ್ । ಬಿನ್ದುಭಿಸ್ತು ನಭೋ (ಮನೋ)ಜ್ಞೇಯಮಾಕಾರೈಸ್ತತ್ತ್ವಲಕ್ಷಣಮ್ ಎಂಬ ಮೂಲ ಶ್ಲೊಕದ ಅರ್ಥವನ್ನು ತಾತ್ತ್ವಿಕ ವಿಶ್ಲೇಷಣೆಯ ಸ್ವರೂಪದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸುವ ಕಥನವಾಗಿದೆ. ಚತುರಸ್ರವು ನಾಲ್ಕು ಬದಿಗಳುಳ್ಳ…
