माहेयं मधुरं स्वादे काषायं जलमेव च । तीक्ष्णं तेजस्समीरोऽम्लं आकाशं कटुकं तथा

ಮಾಹೇಯಂ ಮಧುರಂ ಸ್ವಾದೇ ಕಾಷಾಯಂ ಜಲಮೇವ ಚ । ತೀಕ್ಷ್ಣಂ ತೇಜಸ್ಸಮೀರೋಽಮ್ಲಂ ಆಕಾಶಂ ಕಟುಕಂ ತಥा ॥ ಈ ಶ್ಲೋಕದ ಸಾಂಪ್ರದಾಯಿಕ ಅರ್ಥ: ಈ ಶ್ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿವರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟ ರಸಗಳು, ಪುರಾತನ ವೈದ್ಯಕೀಯ ಗ್ರಂಥಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕಾಣಿಸುವ ಆಯುರ್ವೇದದ ರಸಗಳಿಗೆ ಅನುಗುಣವಾಗಿವೆ. ಮಾಹೇಯಂ (ಮಾಹೇಯಂ) ಮಧುರಂ (ಮಧುರ)…
