अथ तत्त्वगुणकथनम्। पृथिव्यापस्तथा तेजो वायुराकाशमेव च । पञ्चभूतात्मको देहो ज्ञातव्यश्च वरानने
ಅಥ ತತ್ತ್ವಗುಣಕಥನಮ್ — ಈಗ ತತ್ತ್ವಗಳ ಮತ್ತು ಗುಣಗಳ ವಿವರಣೆಯಾಗುವುದು. ಪೃಥಿವಿ, ಆಪಃ (ಜಲ), ತೇಜಸ್, ವಾಯು, ಆಕಾಶ — ಇವೇ ಐದು ಮೂಲ ತತ್ತ್ವಗಳು. ಈ ಐದು ಭೂತಗಳಿಂದ ಸಂಘಟಿತವಾದ ದೇಹವೇ ಈ ಶರೀರ. ವರಾನನೇ (ಸುಂರಾಕಾರಳೇ), ಈ ದೇಹವು ಐದು ಭೂತಗಳಿಂದ ಆದುದೆಂದು ತಿಳಿಯಬೇಕು. ಈ ಪ್ರಾಚೀನ ಶಿವ…
