विषाखोत्तरफाल्गुन्यौ हस्तचित्रे पुनर्वसुः । अश्विनी मृगशीर्षे च वायुतत्त्वमुदाहृतम्

ವಿಷ, ಉತ್ತರಾಫಾಲ್ಗುನಿ ಎಂಬುವು ವಿಷದ ಹಿಂದೆ ಬರುವ ಎರಡು ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳು; ಹಸ್ತ, ಚಿತ್ರ ಎಂಬವು ಪುನರ್ವಸುವಿನ ಜೊತೆ; ಅಶ್ವಿನಿ, ಮೃಗಶಿರ ಎಂಬವು ವಾಯು ತತ್ತ್ವವೆಂದು ಹೇಳಲ್ಪಟ್ಟವು. ಈ ಶ್ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿವ ಸ್ವರೋದಯದ ಗಣಿತ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರವನ್ನು ಬೋಧಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ನಕ್ಷತ್ರವೂ ಒಂದೊಂದು…
