न तिथिर्न च नक्षत्रं न वारो ग्रहदेवताः । न च विष्टिर्व्यतीपातो वैधृत्याद्यास्तथैव च

ತಿಥಿಯೂ ಅಲ್ಲ, ನಕ್ಷತ್ರವೂ ಅಲ್ಲ, ವಾರವೂ ಅಲ್ಲ, ಗ್ರಹ ದೇವತೆಗಳೂ ಅಲ್ಲ. ವಿಷ್ಟಿ, ವ್ಯತೀಪಾತ, ವೈಧೃತಿ ಮೊದಲಾದವುಗಳೂ ಕೂಡ ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಇಲ್ಲ. ಈ ಶ್ಲೋಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಶಿವನು ಸ್ವರೋದಯದ ಮೂಲಭೂತ ತತ್ತ್ವವನ್ನು ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟಪಡಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಜ್ಯೋತಿಷ್ಕ ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಕಾಲವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಧರಿಸಲು ತಿಥಿ…
