अथ छायापुरुषकथनम्। कालो दूरस्थितो वाऽपि येनोपायेन लक्ष्यते । तं वदामि समासेन यथाऽऽदिष्टं शिवागमे

ಈಗ ನೆರಳು-ಪುರುಷನ ಕಥನವು. ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿರುವ ಕಾಲವನ್ನು ಯಾವ ಉಪಾಯದಿಂದ ಗ್ರಹಿಸಬಹುದೋ, ಆ ಉಪಾಯವನ್ನು ಶಿವಾಗಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಆದೇಶಿಸಿದಂತೆ ನಾನು ಸಂಕ್ಷಿಪ್ತವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳುತ್ತೇನೆ. ಈ ಶ್ಲೋಕವು 'ಛಾಯಾಪುರುಷ' ಅಥವಾ ನೆರಳಿನ ಮೂಲಕ ಕಾಲ ಮತ್ತು ಭವಿಷ್ಯವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಯುವ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನಕ್ಕೆ…
