Verse 1.43

नागः कूर्मोऽथ कृकलो देवदत्तो धनञ्जयः । हृदि प्राणो वसेन्नित्यमपानो गुदमण्डले

ನಾಗ, ಕೂರ್ಮ, ಕೃಕಲ, ದೇವದತ್ತ ಮತ್ತು ಧನಂಜಯ ಎಂಬಿವು; ಪ್ರಾಣವು ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿತ್ಯವೂ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತದೆ, ಅಪಾನವು ಗುದಮಂಡಲದಲ್ಲಿ (ಮಲದ್ವಾರದ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ) ನೆಲೆಸಿರುತ್ತದೆ. ಈ ಶ್ಲೋಕವು ದೇಹದೊಳಗಿನ ಪ್ರಾಣಶಕ್ತಿಯ ಐದು ಮುಖ್ಯ ವಿಭಾಗಗಳಾದ ಪಂಚಪ್ರಾಣಗಳನ್ನು ಪರಿಚಯಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ನಾಗ, ಕೂರ್ಮ…
