अरुन्धतीं ध्रुवं चैव विष्णोस्त्रीणि पदानि च । आयुर्हीना न पश्यन्ति चतुर्थं मातृमण्डलम्

അരുന്ധതിയെയും ധ്രുവനക്ഷത്രത്തെയും വിഷ്ണുവിന്റെ മൂന്ന് പാദങ്ങളെയും ആയുസ്സ് കുറഞ്ഞവർ കാണുന്നില്ല; നാലാമതായ മാതൃമണ്ഡലത്തെയും അവർ ദർശിക്കുന്നില്ല. ഈ ശ്ലോകം മനുഷ്യായുസ്സിന്റെ പരിമിതിയും അതിനപ്പുറമുള്ള ദിവ്യദർശനങ്ങളെക്കുറിച്ചും പറയുന്നു…
