शुद्ध तत्त्वानुसन्धानादा अपशु शक्तिः

Translation From the investigation of the pure principles, even the impure one becomes empowered.
Meaning The sutra distinguishes between the pure principles (shuddha tattvas), which range from pure consciousness down to the limit of individuality, and the impure principles (ashuddha tattvas), comprising the mind, senses, and physical elements that bind the soul in limitation. Normally, the seeker feels trapped within the impure realm, identifying with the body and the fluctuating mind. However, this verse declares that a sincere and sustained inquiry into the nature of the higher, pure principles has the power to transform the lower, limited state.
This transformation is not a rejection of the body or the world, but an infusion of divine potency (shakti) into them. By anchoring awareness in the reality of Shiva and Shakti, the energy that was previously contracted into fear, desire, and ignorance is liberated. The impure instruments of existence—the very faculties that once seemed to be obstacles—are suddenly energized by the light of the pure principles, becoming capable vehicles for spiritual expression rather than chains of bondage.
Contemplation Throughout your day, whenever you feel restricted by a physical sensation, a heavy emotion, or a confused thought, pause and silently inquire: "What is the pure consciousness that witnesses this?" Do not try to fix or remove the limitation. Instead, hold the awareness of the witness, the pure principle, firmly in mind. Observe how the very energy of that limitation begins to shift, feeling less like a wall and more like a current of power available for your use.
A contemplative reading in the spirit of the Kashmir Shaivism (Trika / non-dual Tantra) tradition — an aid to reflection, not a substitute for a living teacher or the classical commentaries.
