Sutra 3.22

प्राण समाचारे सम दर्शनम्

Translation In the movement of the life-force, there is equal vision.

Meaning This sutra reveals that the spontaneous flow of prana, the vital energy that animates the body and mind, is not merely a biological function but a direct expression of Consciousness itself. When the seeker stops identifying with the limited ego and rests in the recognition of their true nature as Shiva, the very circulation of breath and energy becomes a mirror of non-dual reality. The term samadarshanam, or equal vision, indicates that in this state, there is no longer a distinction between the sacred and the profane, the self and the other, or the inner and the outer; everything is seen as a pulsation of the one divine light.

The practice of Anavopaya, the individual means, often involves working with the breath and the senses to refine awareness. Here, the text points to the culmination of such refinement where effort dissolves into naturalness. As the life-force moves without the interference of conceptual judgment or dualistic preference, the yogi perceives the same essence vibrating in every phenomenon. The chaotic fluctuations of the mind settle, not because they are suppressed, but because they are recognized as nothing other than the playful dance of Shakti, leaving the seer established in a gaze of perfect equilibrium.

Contemplation Throughout your day, pause whenever you become aware of your breathing or a sudden shift in your physical energy. Instead of analyzing the sensation or labeling it as good or bad, simply rest your attention on the movement itself. Silently affirm that this very pulse of life is the universal Consciousness acting freely. Allow this recognition to soften your gaze so that when you look at people, objects, or situations, you see them not as separate entities to be judged, but as fellow vibrations of the same singular reality, maintaining an inner stance of unwavering equality.

A contemplative reading in the spirit of the Kashmir Shaivism (Trika / non-dual Tantra) tradition — an aid to reflection, not a substitute for a living teacher or the classical commentaries.
