Sutra 3.6

मोहावरणात् सिद्धिः

Translation From the veil of delusion arises perfection.

Meaning This sutra reveals a profound paradox at the heart of the Tantric path: the very obstacle that seems to separate you from Shiva is the ground from which your highest realization blooms. In the state of anava, the limited individual feels contracted by mohavarana, the covering of confusion that makes the One appear as many and the Self appear as separate. Yet, this covering is not a foreign intrusion but a power of Shiva himself, a deliberate contraction that creates the tension necessary for the explosion of awareness. Without the density of this delusion, there would be no friction to ignite the fire of recognition, and the journey from limitation to liberation would have no starting point.

The word siddhi here does not merely refer to supernatural powers or external accomplishments, but to the ultimate perfection of recognizing one's true nature as identical with the Divine. When the seeker stops fighting the fog of delusion and instead turns their full attention into its heart, the energy trapped within that confusion is released. The intensity of the struggle against ignorance transforms into the clarity of wisdom, much like a lotus that requires the mud of the pond to rise and bloom. The veil itself, when fully penetrated by awareness, dissolves into the very light it sought to hide, proving that nothing was ever truly obscured.

Contemplation Throughout your day, whenever you encounter a moment of confusion, emotional turbulence, or a sense of being lost, pause immediately and refrain from trying to fix or escape the feeling. Instead, silently whisper to yourself, "This is the veil from which perfection rises." Direct your full attention into the center of that confused state without judgment, feeling the texture of the delusion as a form of intense energy. Rest in the sensation that this very contraction is the womb of your awakening, allowing the pressure of the moment to mature into a sudden, spontaneous flash of clarity.

A contemplative reading in the spirit of the Kashmir Shaivism (Trika / non-dual Tantra) tradition — an aid to reflection, not a substitute for a living teacher or the classical commentaries.
